The University’s mother tongue is Finnish but it is also possible to study in Swedish, English and German.
The University of Vaasa has 5,000 students and 500 employees. The University is located in Palosaari, right next to Vaasa city centre. Palosaari is a pleasant area with excellent services, sports facilities and a large amount of student accommodation.
All of the University’s buildings are close to each other on the combined campus. The University of Vaasa’s campus area is arguably Finland’s most beautiful: it opens onto a wide seascape of islands and skerries, making the campus a unique place.
At the centre of the campus is the science library, Tritonia, which is shared by all of the higher education institutions in Vaasa. The other higher education units are also close by. If you would like to complete part of your studies at one of them, distance is not a barrier: all of the study sites are a stone’s throw away.
